On October 4th, 2018, Neil Powell joined members from the IU ASSP student section to conduct an informational training session over Edge Eyewear, and the importance of eye protection. Since a smaller group attended, the students were able to interact more with Neil and discuss topics that were covered during the training session. It was stated during this session that over half of eye injuries can be attributed to at-home activities, so be sure to wear safety glasses next time you decide to weed-whack your yard! Some students even got to participate in activities like beating a hammer down on different types of glasses to test their resiliency and wearing blind goggles to test depth perception. Neil did a great job of leveraging humor into his presentation, and the students were very appreciative of his generosity in coming to present here on campus. For students looking for a fun and interesting way to boost your resume, be sure to attend the next Edge Eyewear Safety Training.
