Todd D. Smith

Dr. Todd D. Smith, assistant professor of Applied Health Science at the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington, has been appointed to the Council on Academic Affairs and Research within the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). The House of Delegates of the ASSP recently approved the creation of the new Council on Academic Affairs and Research (COAAR). The COAAR will oversee the work of multiple committees including a research committee and the Education Standards Committee.

The American Society of Safety Professionals is a global association for occupational safety and health professionals. It supports occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals in their efforts to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities. The organization provides education, advocacy, standards development, and a professional community to our members in order to advance their careers and the OSH profession as a whole.
